Holly Caplan has been in the corporate world since 1994, with the majority of her years spent as the only female manager in the male dominated medical device field. As the only woman in a group of men, she faced several situations that she was not prepared for and had no one to guide her. The male/female dynamic in a leadership role presented a whole new set of issues that no one could have told her about. While she stumbled upon challenges and a lot of learning, she realized she needed to write about it and also talk about it. She knew other women would want to hear about her experiences, as she knew she could not be alone in all of this. Her goal now is to build confidence and support for women who have navigated the rough coroporate waters and give guidance so that each female successor will succeed.
